| Topps hit a big time design lull through most of the 2000's and this design just didn't work that well for me at all. The team name and the Topps logo (or in this case, the Topps Chrome logo) seem to crowd out the picture. Typically, Topps designs look better in the chrome version, but this year's set was an exception. |

| As a rule, I love the backs of almost every Topps base set. Lots of stats, the way it should be. I like when they make the league leader stats stand out, especially when viewing a Maddux card. |

it's funny that you say that about the 2008 Topps design...it's probably one of my favorite designs of all time
