Braves Collection: Brandon Hicks

2007 Donruss Elite Extra Edition
I don't want to dump too much on Brandon Hicks. Players like him serve a purpose in any organization. He's a good glove guy that can play third, short and second. He was useful, briefly, as a late inning pinch runner and defensive replacement. (He scored 7 runs for the Braves last year despite not getting a single hit.) His managers love him because he plays hard every single day.

Still, is there any player in the majors that better illustrates the Braves offensive woes throughout their organization? Hicks hit .211 in AAA last year, and still managed to get his first call to the big leagues. No offense to Mr. Hicks, but I think if he spends any time at all in Atlanta next year, the Braves are in deep, deep trouble.

Outside of Matt Young, is there anyone at Gwinnett, or even Mississippi, that has a chance to play every day in Atlanta in the near future?
