Maddux Collection: 2001 Bowman #16
In 2001, Maddux was just good, strong, solid, and consistent. At this point, the Braves should have found a new ace. (Did they think John Burkett was the guy? Really?) Maddux and Glavine were now strong "two" pitchers, but they were not the aces they once were, and the Braves starting pitching had entered a period of decline.
