Braves Collection: Tony Tarasco

1994 Upper Deck
I've been a Braves fan since about 1981 and I've identified five types of Braves players over those years. There are my favorites, guys I remember well, guys I wish I didn't remember well (see John Rocker), guys I can't remember playing for the Braves, and guys I can remember playing for the Braves, but can't remember anything about the time they were a Brave. It's in this latter category that Tony Tarasco falls. A quick glance at his baseball reference page tells me that his most notable accomplishment as a Brave was being a part of the trade that brought Atlanta Marquis Grissom. Thanks Tony!!!!

Thanks to Derek at Tomahawk Chopping for this card.

I'll always picture Tony Tarasco looking up and pointing as Jeter rounded the bases in the 1996 ALCS vs the Orioles. Apparently he played 14 games for the 1999 Yanks...don't really remember that.
