Luis Salazar

For those who haven't heard, Luis Salazar, who played for the Padres and Cubs, among others, is set to manage the Braves High A club in Lynchburg. During today's game against the Cardinals, while standing in the Braves dugout, he was struck in the face by a wicked line drive from Brian McCann. The situation looked grim as he was tended to on the field. He was then airlifted to a hospital in Orlando. McCann was understandably rattled and left the game. Thankfully, Salazar does not appear to have suffered any brain damage, but still has a long road to recovery courtesy of multiple facial fractures, especially around his left eye. Please send all of your thoughts, positive energy and prayers towards Salazar, his family and his friends in the Braves organization.
